One Soft Blade

In the barrenness
of the desert
You are the
One Soft Blade
of Green
that catches
my eye.

You are the
One Pool
of Clear, Cool
Water, relieving
all that is dry.

Yours is the
One Voice
I hear above
the din of
taunting demons and
accusations of sin.

Yours is the
One Heart
that is Faithful
and True;
and so once
again I go
into the desert
with You.
