An Advent Prayer

Dear Abba-God;
God of Hope and Joy,
God of Peace and Love;
Uncreated Light, of Whom
All That Lives is Created;
Thank You for this
Holy Container of Advent;
The Womb of Mary,
in Which we may be nourished
and held safe, as we grow,
with Christ, beneath Her
Beautiful Heart of Grace.
Thank You for the Gift
of the Power of Yes
and the Strength of Surrender;
Your Light passing through our darkness
so our True Selves may be born.
