Smiling In Eternity

I am smiling
in Eternity;
not some
distant “Then”
or “There”;
but Here
and Now
in this tapestry chair.

I am smiling
for the grace
of knowing,
Heaven’s not
a place I’m going,
but Love Divine;
This Moment
glowing warm
in my broken heart.

I am smiling
as spirits hover;
smiling too
as they discover
me resting here
in the Arms of
the Lover of my soul.

I am smiling,
free of doubt
and fear; held
in this space
where All is clear;
for God is All
and ever near to me.

I am smiling
in Eternity.
